THE RISE AND DECLINE OF NORTH AMERICA

by J. Ben Water

Opponents have vowed to bury it; some believe God should punish it; others have prayed for its demise, and taught their children to hate it. Then why and how has the country of North America become such a massive power; when and how will it decline; who and what could cause this decline?

It has been said, that the government and the culture of North America is young. But this statement is not true. Really, North America’s government is one of the oldest governments functioning in the world today. It has lasted over two hundred years and has witnessed most all other world governments being overthrown (often many times), and all the radical culture or custom changes that come with these overthrows.

Example: Was it ever a (culture) custom of the Asian people of China, to remove unborn-eight-month-old-fetuses from unwilling mothers, or to cause mothers through intense fear to abandon their very young and infant females, for other people to find? No, this (new) custom comes from a brutal law, imposed by a communist government who rule the people of China through fear and without consent.

Of course, free or constrained, all culture changes. All traditions must serve a needed function. If and when a tradition becomes a burden to a society (government) it will change (even in the above example which goes against basic biology... is the government’s attempt to save that society... by biology... from over population and starvation).

Example: Most women in North America did not work outside of the home, until a world war force this change to happen (large amounts of men were needed to fight in that war... and large amounts of factory jobs producing needed goods... were then filled by the needed women). This tradition of a woman staying at home, had become a burden to her society (government) so it changed.

Even in a non-free-male-dominated-society, the female can be granted new rights, if the old tradition is shown to impede or in some way burden the (male) government.

Example: The Arabic female had never been permitted to drive or operate an automobile, until after a war happen. This war helped the Arabic male to understand, if  your homeland is being invaded by a neighboring country, it is beneficial if your female who may be at home alone with small children, can place those children into an automobile, and drive safely away.

The burden - A female who cannot stand up to, or flea from an invader, is helpless, and may be tortured and killed, so that the male loses his spouse and offspring, which is never good for him or his society (the total dependancy of a female is normally taught and reenforced by religious laws in this society... because it maintains the power of the male over his mate... but this advantage to the male... was reveled as a large weakness for him... and his society as a whole).

So the direction of culture depends on what works best for a society’s decision-makers (government) and even when it seems to never change, it does.

Now, if you can see how a government will influence tradition (culture) and why and how traditions are kept or changed. You can then  understand, even when one group separates from a society, and joins another society, and works to kept the old traditions from the first society, the two societies will not match when compared one generation later.

The original society will have changed, and the separated group will be influenced by its new government’s laws, and will have incorporated new customs, along with its emotionally kept customs. So all culture is always in a state of change. What is true for the North American culture is, it emotionally keeps many cultures from many societies, but there is one certain factor that will take hold and cause a person to become an American (stay with me and I will explain this factor later).

In the sixties an argument began to circulate, that compared the government of North America with the Roman Empire, and its decline; lately it has resurfaced. I could write a very, very, long, point by point list, to refute this statement, but that would require me to waste your attention to what can be put in a simpler way.

Any government may be compared to a clay vessel.

To make a clay vessel, you must start with soft clay, and then choose a desired form. Once you have your form completed, it must be placed into a fire so hot, it has the danger of cracking or blowing apart. If at the end of the baking time, and cool down time, this vessel is still in tact, then it should be brushed with a pleasing glaze and returned to the oven that is so hot, it has the ability to cause this vessel to fly apart. If at the end firing and cool down time, there are no visible cracks, then your vessel is strong enough to stand up to extreme conditions, without the fear or danger of it cracking, breaking, or flying apart.

When a clay form is well designed, a fire will only strengthen it. If the clay form has a basic design flaw, fires will destroy it. This is true for any government.

The truth about the North America government is, it was formed and created by a group of thinkers who were educated-privileged-white-males, who did not have esteem problems. This I believe is the critical underlying genius to this government, because In their aim to create a type of government they were willing to live under, they limited all forms of power, and declared the power of the government would rest with the people. They protected by law, all rights other governments would suppress. They did not mean for this to include any women, Indians, black slaves, indentured servants, but their words did,

WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS TO BE SELF EVIDENT, THAT ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL,
THAT THEY ARE ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR WITH CERTAIN UNALIENABLE RIGHTS,
THAT AMONG THESE ARE LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

from The American Declaration of Independence

These words are the foundation to the American Dream. This is what causes people to believe in America.  And because of these words, white women, black women, red women, black men, red men, began to think like those first men, and all of the fires that followed, showed the true strength in these words.

Now this is what happened to Rome:

Rome’s design was always flawed.

All of Rome’s occupants, would never become free and equal under the law (the foundation in the word of law... was never there).

The economy was not based on rewarding innovation and efficiency, but on the abundance of slave labor (this is where we went into the fires and got glazed... here I must add... we should never create guest worker programs for cheap labor... or cause people to buy a citizenship... we should clean up our border problems and help our neighbors to the south... using our influence and money in corporation with their government if needed... we should help create quality opportunities for them in their own homeland... because... a sweatshop... can be located in a field of green... in the heart of America..)

The freedom to influence and the freedom of speech, was not protected (when thoughts are suppressed you lose the best thinking... and the best answers... and a society will suffer and decline)

Neither was the freedom of religion, or from religion, protected (A power of religion and the power of a government will fight... and cause a bloodbath... unless they are kept separate... this civil war will cause a decline)

It has been said that the government of North America, was founded by Christian men, on Christian values. So I will briefly address the difference between God, Religion, Jesus Christ, and his values.

In this effort I will remind you, truth must always equal truth. So as you do your own investigation in thoughts and deeds, as you must, remember that (if you need a definition or explanation for truth... then read the essay KTHOUGHTS ON THOUGHT ).

Religion:  A set of rules or traditions made and kept by men, for worshiping anything recognized as God (these rules will mostly benefit the makers... who will sometimes use fear and force to keep them in place... here you might want to read the essay... KWHO'S GOT GOD ).
God:  A recognized creator, or what is worshiped.

Jesus Christ:  A Jewish man born over two thousand years ago, who left us with a certain principle, that if fully understood, may be used and verified (here you might want to read the essay... KWHO WAS JESUS ).

Now for his values.

After looking at his words, he seems to value the truth.

He seems to value his bond with God.

He seems to value love- of all mankind.  Even when they would do him harm, he wept for them (lately in print I have seen some comments circulating... from people who preferred another philosopher over Jesus... because the other philosopher laughed and Jesus wept... but that philosopher did not understand the principle of judgement... and when you understand it... you will see why Jesus would weep... he knew why and what would happen to his people... because he knew and understood this one principle of judgement... the other philosopher never did... and I could find no other human who ever did... so this would make Jesus Christ the greatest philosopher and prophet who ever lived... not Abraham nor anyone else).

He seemed to value and honor children  (I do not believe it to be an accident... that his birth and rebirth... Christmas and Easter... are the two holidays... that are mostly dedicated to the happiness of children)

He seemed to value the person’s right to choose how to live life.

He did not seem to advise anyone on his faith in God, who did not  first ask.

He did not seem to value religious rules, or religious authority.

So yes, you may say, these words seem to be in line with his values.

Okay, so what are the reasons a society may rise or decline?

In the past a government has gained power as now, through its influence (here it will be helpful to read the essay... KTHE ANTICHRIST ) which will come through commerce, gift-money, food, support, protection, war, hope, fear, force, religion, and art  (it might also be useful to read the essay ...  KDEFINING ART ).  And for any government to become and stay firmly established, it must gain and maintain respect through influence.

This respect must both be internal and external. If the respect is not there internally, the government is in danger of being in civil strife and war, causing a decline. If the respect is not there externally, then the society is in danger of being over run by looters, and-or neighboring societies in war, causing a decline.

The most important of these two is an internal respect, so that the government does not lose its true power (this was true for the old Soviet Union... they had the respect of every nation on earth...  but was in a decline from within).

Here I should point to what causes a society to succeed, or rise from within.

There are certain traits or principals built into the nature of biology, and if a society uses these traits effectively, they will rise, if not, then that society will stagnate and decline.  And here they are:

A society must allow

Competition -  if not, its growth will suffer (this is why communism never-ever works).

Adaptation -  or the ability to change when an obstacle surfaces (like disease... floods... cold-wet-hot-dry weather... invasions... etc... ect...)

Reproductive Rights -  (when a government start regulating this part of biology they both loose... and if a society practices human sacrifice... especially of children... to war... suicide bombers... or gods... it will decline).

and promote Productivity - (many societies have decline due to a lack of food production... but the society that over-produces will rise... always... and the person who is rewarded for over-producing... will attempt to continue to over-produce).

These are the rules of nature; if you believe in a creator, then these are the rules of the Creator; so in any instance these rules will always win against any man-made rules, that may be imposed on man, by man.

Here I must say, a government built on religious rules can never be a DEMOCRACY (never-ever-ever-never) religion and DEMOCRACY are incompatible. This is the truth, if you fight a war of ideas with force, ideas will ultimately win. So religion will always win over force, unless its ideas are proven false by other ideas. The only way to defeat an idea is, if a society accepts another idea in its place, and religion does not allow this to happen. It will not allow itself to be replaced by a competing idea.

So in a true DEMOCRACY, a strong court of law must exist to protect its people against its government’s leaders ideas (flag burning ban... suspension of rights... forced service to a government... bunch of other stuff... all designed to force respect to a government’s leaders) and its religious leaders ideas, because when the courts are controlled by the government’s leaders, you have a DICTATORSHIP; if they are controlled by the religious leaders, then this is a THEOCRACY.  This means, if the court of law and its religious leaders are one, there can be no protection for people, and no true DEMOCRACY (the Middle East and America in her own country should recognize... religious rules defeat DEMOCRACY... right at this minute America is fighting a war... and in the mind of the American Soldier... America is fighting for DEMOCRACY... but America's leaders have already settled for a THEOCRACY... Iraq has a THEOCRACY... not a DEMOCRACY... and the same is true for Afghanistan... out of respect for the American Soldier who has fought... died... and been wounded for DEMOCRACY...  America should take a stand and demand that these two nations implement DEMOCRACY... and rid their governments of religious rules...  America should scrub down her own government as well).

Now then, back to our decline. Every so often a social thinker or writer will point to man’s technical advances as his downfall, but technology is just a tool; Radios, TVs, Phones, electricity, computers, air-conditioners, (my favorite) dishwashers, clean hot and cold running water, farm equipment, automobiles, airplanes, the wheel, has not cause any society to decline so far; no society has died out due to gaining technology (societies only benefit from technical tools... and in my opinion the woman who created the dishwasher and the man who created the air conditioner... should have been granted the Nobel prize for those inventions...I am extremely grateful that they lived in a time before me).

The thinking is, that technical tools cause a decline in the physical body and-or thinking-mind of a society, but really, they free up thinking time, and improve the care of our bodies (if and when we start mixing and fixing genes... most likely nature could slap our hands hard...we shall see).

Now on to the thought that North America may decline because other nations rise. So far North America has only gained by other nations rising, peacefully. I will add, that North America has part of every nation on earth in her population. So when things go wrong in any country, part of North America wants it fixed by North America. This is how North America becomes involved in so many world problems. So if all other countries are self sufficient and run smoothly, it is only good for North America (this is the same as if your brothers and sisters do well in their life... their success does not cause you... or your life to decline... when all members of a family do well... that family has a measure of stability... this is also true for the societies of Earth).

The best way North America or any country can remain strong is through understanding and defending the principles of nature (once in the sixties... a foreign official after meeting North America’s first lady declared... “America’s strength is in her women” .... he meant only to complement that one woman... but he was right for all societies and all mankind... because it is a biological fact... that... THE STRENGTH OF A MAN BEGINS WITH A WOMAN’S...).  And so I close this paper with what I promised, that certain thing which takes hold and causes a person to become an American.  At this point I must say, I had never given any thought to this thought (my father’s people settled in Virginia before the American revolution was fought) until an European writer said, “America is good at making Americans”. So how does this happen, when North America is a society that is patch-worked together from all societies; what is the common thread? While I was thinking about this, I saw an interview being done by a reporter.

This reporter was stopped on a bridge interviewing a sixteen-year-old girl, who was walking with other girls her age. The occasion was a walk-out, or boycott, by the illegal immigrants who work and live in North America. It was a day most likely influenced and organized by people who had nothing to loose. It was suppose to show the power of illegal immigrants on the North American economy (I will not go into what it did show... or the repercussions it caused) and to stop a piece of law from being passed.

The young girl had been chosen for this interview, because she was an illegal immigrant. She had arrived in North America, carried for miles through a dessert by her parents. The choice to immigrate to North America was not hers, but as I listened with some fear for her, she explained, she was an American, and no one was ever going to deport her, because she had rights, and she knew them.

This young girl had a boldness in her thought, that I recognized as the common American thread. It was similar to the fourteen-year-old black girl’s, who decades ago, was the first black person in North America to sit in a front-seat of a public bus, because she believed she had that right. It is a way of thinking that takes hold, and causes a person to think like those first men, who declared their rights, and were willing to stand and risk their life and property to keep those rights. So if you see as I did, that if the most politically-powerless-female in North America, is always bold enough to believe she has those same first rights, and is willing to standup and risk losing everything in keeping them, then you will see where that strength is, for the continued rise, of North America.
